Subject: Recall: RE: [ubl-dev] Fwd: The EC initiative on Semantic Interoperability invites you to review the ADMS
Sorry folks I've seen John's email dated January 6th on the same topic. This is what happens when one goes on vacation and upon return, attempts to clear ones email backlog inconsistently! :-) Cheers Colin -----Original Message----- From: Colin Wallis Sent: Wednesday, 18 January 2012 11:54 a.m. To: 'egov-ms@lists.oasis-open.org' Subject: FW: [ubl-dev] Fwd: The EC initiative on Semantic Interoperability invites you to review the ADMS FYI an should be of interest to many eGov Members globally. Cheers Colin -----Original Message----- From: Jon Bosak [mailto:bosak@pinax.com] Sent: Tuesday, January 17, 2012 8:57 PM To: UBL TC; ubl-dev Subject: [ubl-dev] Fwd: The EC initiative on Semantic Interoperability invites you to review the ADMS At the request of the European Commission's ISA Programme (http://ec.europa. eu/isa/), UBL experts are invited to participate in the public review of the just-released Asset Description Metadata Schema (ADMS). The review ends 6 February 2012; see message attached for details. The ADMS provides a common format for the description of semantic interoperability assets including metadata schemas, controlled vocabularies, and code lists. The team that developed the ADMS used the UBL Naming and Design Rules and UBL's CCTS-compliant libraries to express the ADMS in XML. Beginning in mid-2012, the Joinup platform, implemented under the ISA programme, will make available a large number of semantic interoperability assets, described using ADMS, through a federation of asset repositories of Member States, standardisation bodies, and other relevant stakeholders. This federation of repositories will enable semantic assets stored throughout Europe to be searched and discovered through a single point of access. Links contained in the message attached provide means to register comments on the ADMS that will be discussed by the Working Group in early February. Please follow up using these links to ensure that comments are forwarded as appropriate.
