Subject: Re: [egov] Geospatially-aware search services

Eliot,

I believe OASIS should be looking to have Google join
and work on XML usage standards for search interfaces.

Perhaps a new OASIS TC working on implementing
and expanding on the ISO work and Geospatial
community work?

Also - since Microsoft is already a member - perhaps
they will take a lead in this area?

Your example at http://www.gils.net/srwGoogle.html
is compelling in what it shows is needed and the
opportunity for common standards.

Thanks, DW
