The US e-gov TC F2F meeting will be held at the Treasury Executive Institute - Meeting Room "A" on the first floor.  The address is: 801 9th St NW, Washington DC.  This is between H & I streets, north on 9th.  Enterance half way up the block on the right side.  This location is convenient to both exits of the Chinatown/Gallery Metro stop.  It is next to where the old convention center once stood.

Attendees must be able to show a government-issued photo id to the guard upon arrival.  Non-US attendees must RSVP to me to get their name on the meeting list.  I need to get that to the guard office by close of business on November 29th - next Tuesday.

This is a beautiful location with fine meeting facilities and an exceptional number of places for lunch.

The collegues from the IRS have been so kind to offer conference facilities. Up to today not a single US member as announced participation. However there are severral US and Washington based members of the TC wou could help getting discussions and work for E-gov underway.

E-government stands for cooperation and interoperability. Not only nationally but also internationaly. If specific topics shoud be discussed, the programme is open for any kind of changes.

I am aware it is short notice, but this announcement was posted before.

Members are kindly asked to register with me in advance because names have to be supplied to security.

Event Description:
During the last face to face meeting in London we had no Non European representatives. This was rather disappointing, because we need interaction to get the TC on its feet aigain. We agreed that the chair would travel to the members in the US so that taveling for other TC members could be restricted. This will be an informal face to facemeeting hosted by the Internal Revenue Service in Washington DC. The meetingvenue will be published shortly.

Agenda:
Meeting wil start at 10 AM and last till 4 PM. Subjects Possible to be discussed: -Standards in joined up government, experiences in bringing down administrative burden for businesses in The Netherlands by the use of standards and semantic interoperability.

- Experiences with government standardisation bodies.
- workprogramme for the TC

Because this is an informal meeting, no dial in facilities will be available
