Hello Everyone,

A question was raised today about the proposed TCIP interoperability
participation fee, so I thought it might be helpful to pass it along to the
entire group for review.  The question was - "Why does the cost to
participate in the demonstration seemed much higher than simply exhibiting
on the show floor?"  (Please note:  The perception is that exhibiting will
only cost $500 - when this will not be the case for most exhibiting
companies.)

Below is a breakdown of the estimated costs associated with a simple
exhibit-only space for comparison.  You will clearly see that participating
in the demonstration will provide many more benefits and the financial
commitment is pretty much the same (thanks to the financial support of our
EI member section).  Please feel free to forward any additional questions.
I will also be on the events conference call Thursday to discuss this option
further.

Estimate pricing of exhibit-only participation:
$500 (includes space, chair, table, one line 7"x44" sign, and draping)
$850 (one internet computer connection for three days)
$250 (carpeting)
$200 (electricity)
Total = $1,800

Finally, we heard back from the folks at the TCIP event.  After reviewing
the exhibitor pricing guide, we were able to work out an estimated per
company cost.  Please note:  The below information is based on no less than
six participating companies and a 20 x 20 exhibit space.  Attached is the
latest floor plan for your review.  Those marked with an "X" are currently
NOT available.   It was mentioned during one of our calls that it would be
great to be close to the Federal Demo area.   I noticed that 411, 409, 510,
and 508 are available - and might be a good option.  Please forward
comments.

Per company price:  $1,800
Foundational- and sponsor-level members will receive a 25% discount off the
above price = $1,350

Price includes:

20x20 booth space
Six drape tables
Six chairs
Carpet
Internet connectivity (for three day)
Large computer monitor (for booth presentation) & lead retrieval
Electricity
Signage & graphics
Printed materials (including items for the Tuesday presentation)
Press release development & distribution

Participating company benefits:
Each participating company will receive:
 
*	One workstation in the space including: six-foot table, chair,

*	Two complimentary booth staff registrations

All - I spoke to conference planners and they are OK with us doing 1 single
demo.  I requested Tuesday so we get everything set-up on Monday night.  I
have also been provided the following pricing for Internet services with
more details to come.  Thoughts or comments?

Price Guide: 
One time set-up fee, which includes 1 computer connection for 1 day  $600.00

Each additional computer connection, each additional day, per day  $125.00 
More information is being compiled.
