Subject: CAP Messages for the Interop Demo

Attached are most of the CAP messages in XML format. Please take a look and see if they fit your needs for the scenario. I need the CAP-CP translation for the border alerts unless it is being handled behind the scenes then they are not needed. I still have a few more to finish for scenario three.

...HURRICANE WATCH IN EFFECT...

...NEW INFORMATION...
AT 5 PM A HURRICANE WATCH HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE AREA.

.STORM INFORMATION...
AT 5 PM CST...THE CENTER OF HURRICANE KIRBY WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 24.0N...LONGITUDE 85.0W. THIS WAS ABOUT 800 MILES SOUTHEAST OF CORPUS CHRISTI TX. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 135 MPH. THIS MAKES KIRBY A VERY DANGEROUS CATEGORY FOUR HURRICANE ON THE SAFFIR-SIMPSON WIND SCALE.

...WINDS...
AS HURRICANE KIRBY MOVES CLOSER...THE THREAT FOR SUSTAINED HIGH WINDS WILL INCREASE. TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO BEGIN AFFECTING THE AREA TUESDAY AFTERNOON...WITH HURRICANE CONDITIONS DEVELOPING TUESDAY NIGHT AND CONTINUING THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

...STORM SURGE AND STORM TIDE...
AT THIS TIME...IT IS TOO EARLY TO PROVIDE DETAILED INFORMATION ON WHAT THE SURGE IMPACT COULD SPECIFICALLY BE ALONG THE CENTRAL TEXAS COAST AS IT IS HIGHLY DEPENDENT ON THE EXACT TRACK...SIZE AND INTENSITY OF THE STORM. HOWEVER IN GENERAL...STORM SURGE VALUES OF 10 TO 15 FEET ABOVE GROUND LEVEL ARE POSSIBLE ALONG AND TO THE RIGHT OF WHERE THE CENTER CROSSES THE COAST. RESIDENTS LIVING IN LOW LYING COASTAL AREAS SHOULD HEED EVACUATION ORDERS GIVEN BY LOCAL OFFICIALS.

<instruction>...PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
MANDATORY EVACUATIONS ORDERS HAVE BEEN DECLARED FOR MOST COASTAL LOCATIONS INCLUDING KINGSVILLE...CORPUS CHRISTI...PORT ARANSAS... ROCKPORT...AND PORT OCONNOR. THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY WILL BE MONITORING TRAFFIC FLOW AND HAS ALREADY OPENED THE EVACUATION LANE ON I-37 BETWEEN CORPUS CHRISTI AND SAN ANTONIO.

<headline>Hurricane Warning issued November 08 at 5:00PM CST</headline>

...HURRICANE WARNING IN EFFECT...

...NEW INFORMATION...
AT 5 PM A HURRICANE WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE AREA.

.STORM INFORMATION...
AT 5 PM CST...THE CENTER OF HURRICANE KIRBY WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 26.0N...LONGITUDE 92.0W. THIS WAS ABOUT 350 MILES SOUTHEAST OF CORPUS CHRISTI TX. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS REMAIN NEAR 135 MPH. THIS MAKES KIRBY A VERY DANGEROUS CATEGORY FOUR HURRICANE ON THE SAFFIR-SIMPSON WIND SCALE.

...WINDS...
TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS WILL BEGIN AFFECTING THE AREA TUESDAY AFTERNOON...WITH HURRICANE CONDITIONS DEVELOPING TUESDAY NIGHT AND CONTINUING THROUGH WEDNESDAY. HURRICANE WINDS IN EXCESS OF 115 MPH WILL LIKELY CAUSE MAJOR STRUCTURAL DAMAGE TO HOMES AND BUSINESSES ALONG THE PATH OF THE STORM. HURRICANE FORCE WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO REACH AS FAR INLAND AS THREE RIVERS AND POSSIBLY SAN ANTONIO. THUS WHEN YOU REACH YOUR EVACAUATION DESTINATION YOU WILL STILL NEED TO PREPARE FOR A POSSIBLE IMPACT FROM THIS STORM.

...STORM SURGE AND STORM TIDE...
STORM SURGE VALUES OF 15 FEET ABOVE GROUND LEVEL OR HIGHER ARE POSSIBLE ALONG AND TO THE RIGHT OF WHERE THE CENTER CROSSES THE COAST. RESIDENTS LIVING IN LOW LYING COASTAL AREAS ARE STRONGLY ENCOUAGED TO HEED EVACUATION ORDERS GIVEN BY LOCAL OFFICIALS. STORM SURGE IS THE DEADLIEST PART OF THE HURRICANE...AND CAN EASILY SWEEP AWAY LOW LYING STRUCTURES.

<instruction>...PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
MANDATORY EVACUATIONS ORDERS HAVE BEEN DECLARED FOR ALL COASTAL LOCATIONS INCLUDING KINGSVILLE...CORPUS CHRISTI...PORT ARANSAS... ROCKPORT...AND PORT OCONNOR. THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY
CONTINUES TO MONITOR TRAFFIC FLOW AND MAINTAINS THAT TRAFFIC IS STEADY ON THE THREE NORTHBOUND LANES INCLUDING EVACUATION LANE ON I-37 BETWEEN CORPUS CHRISTI AND SAN ANTONIO.
