EM Adoption TC Chair Nomination

EM Adoption TC Member,

I would like to place before you a nominee for Chair (or one of two
Co-chairs) of the EM Adoption TC:  Tom Ferrentino

Tom spent 21 years as an officer and hazmat specialist for the Buffalo, NY
Fire Department. Tom has received two of Buffalo's top awards of heroism
(the Butler Gold and Bronze medals) for rescuing citizens during a fire.
During his time on the fire department Tom moonlighted as a computer
programmer analyst on his off time. Tom served as an adjunct weapons of mass
destruction (WMD) instructor for the Center for Domestic Preparedness in
Anniston, AL. During his tenure at the CDP he managed the learning resource
center which was responsible for the learning management system (LMS), the
CDP website, the responder registration database and all media projects.
Recently Tom has assisted the NIMS Support Center as a test analyst and
assisted in the vendor evaluation process. Currently Tom is a Senior
Outreach and Training specialist for the FEMA Disaster Management program
and assists emergency managers throughout the United States. Tom has also
been serving as Co-chair of the OASIS Emergency Management Adoption
Subcommittee.
