Subject: Review results/ISCRAM 2011

Dear Jane Harnad:

We thank you for submitting your work, entitled "Data Interoperability
Standards for Efficient Emergency Coordination" (ID: 292), for poster
presentation at the 2011 Information Systems for Crisis Response and
Management (ISCRAM) conference.

We are happy to report that, based on independent reviews and the judgment of
the track chair(s), the recommendation of the Program Committee is as follows:

Accept as poster without revision.

This work has been accepted for poster presentation. Poster title and
author(s) will appear in the proceedings provided that at least one author
registers for the conference in advance of the deadline (late March).

The title of your poster, as well as names and affiliations of all authors,
will appear in the proceedings provided that at least one of the poster's
authors registers for the conference on or before 31 March 2011.

Formatting instructions.
The maximum dimensions for a poster are approximately 100cm high by 60cm wide.
Written text should be readable from a distance of 6 feet (about 2 meters).
That is approximately a minimum of about 20pt font, but larger is always
better. Please do not feel obligated to consume the entire surface of the
poster stand. Please bring mouting materials with you (i.e., pins or tacks). A
surface to mount your poster will be provided.

Below are the reviews of your submission.

Evaluation of the contribution
------------------------------
Recommendation: 5 - Accept

Comments for the authors
------------------------
In the ISCRAM community information sharing is recurring theme. To facilitate
this in information systems, open and standardized data formats and protocols
are a necessity. This work appears to be a step in the right direction.

The poster left me with an important question. Do systems existing systems
already implement these standards? Was just the emergency simulated? or also
the use of EDXL?

One final suggestion: I expected a URL to the OASIS website on the poster.

Review 2
========

Evaluation of the contribution
------------------------------
Recommendation: 5 - Accept

Comments for the authors
------------------------
The poster clearly describes interoperability standards for data-sharing
between emergency management organizations as research objective; describes
these standards in more details, and illustrates this with an emergency
management example. With this poster the authors should be able to interact
about their research, with those interested.

Meta-Review 3
=============

Evaluation of the contribution
------------------------------
Recommendation: 2 - Probably Reject

Comments for the authors
------------------------
There is nothing about research in this poster. As such it is non-responsive
to the research methods track. The poster is appropriate for other tracks and
I would encourage you to advocate that the poster is moved to one of them.

Again, we thank you for your submission to the 2011 ISCRAM conference, and we
look forward to meeting you in Lisbon and hearing more about your work.

Yours sincerely,
