Subject: RE: [Fwd: [emergency-adopt] Fwd: [ciq] Re: FW: [members] Identit Management 2009 | Call for Presentations Now Open]

Hi all,

Actually the ideal was quite the opposite. The OASIS staff has intentionally
strived to create environments where various TCS and MSs can
cross-pollinate.

For example; the eGov MS is looking to make a presentation at possibly both
events (emergency, security). Remember the events are not overlapping but
back to back. The Telecom MS has potential discussions with the EI MS. I do
not think we are cannibalizing any of these efforts; in fact, we may gain a
few high level advocates or end-users that will act as visionaries and
realize the benefits of joint opportunities. That was our goal indeed; feel
free to correct my perspective.

Cheers,
Dee

Hi Everyone,

It looks to me like OASIS will have competing events at NIST
cannibalizing each other's audiences. We need to rework this so that
we don't have competing events. In fact, I think that events in the
same week, unless they build on each other, produce less audience for
both events. I don't know if anyone has done any studies on this, so
I could be wrong, but in any case, we need to avoid this situation.

Cheers,
Rex
