Subject: RE: [emergency-gis] Feedback on OASIS where GML profile requirements

I will follow-up with some more input as I get it from Solace Engineering since they have implemented all this geospatial processing in hardware and may have some unique input.

I had to leave the group as an “Observer” so I could rejoin as a “Member” (which I have done) so that is likely the source of the weird message from Kavi.

Hans -

Thanks!  This is the correct version.

I will modify the document to reflect your input. The GML gurus asked the same question about linestring. GML supports either way - straight line segments on a flat earth or a line on the geoid which is a curve. Problem with the later is that most GIS do not know the earth is an ellipsoid :-)

Also, are you still registered with the GIS SC? Got a weird message from Kavi.

Thanks

Carl

I added my comments to the OASIS GML Profile requirements doc. Perhaps we can discuss on the next call. I appologize if I am working form an older copy of the doc.
