Shared Nationwide Interoperability Roadmap: A
Year in Review
Today ONC posted a The
Shared Nationwide Interoperability Roadmap: A
Year in Review. This interactive
presentation highlights the work ONC
accomplished in the past year to support the
goals and objectives of the Roadmap. The
presentation reflects the principles outlined in
the Roadmap and is a snapshot of ONC’s
activities. It is not a comprehensive
look at the important and valuable work being
done by you – the health and health IT
stakeholders and federal partners – helping
ensure that information flows where and when it
is needed most. As we come to the end of 2016,
we look forward to an exciting 2017 and the
continued partnerships in helping make sure that
individuals have the information they need to
improve their health and care.
NEW:
Final 2017 Interoperability Standards Advisory
The 2017
Interoperability Standards Advisory (ISA)
is now available at HealthIT.gov. The ISA
updates the draft version released in August
2016. The ISA is a coordinated catalog of
standards and implementation specifications that
are available for use by the health IT industry
to meet interoperability needs. This year, we
transitioned the ISA from a static document to
an online platform that enables you to fully
engage with and shape the ISA on an ongoing
basis.
Model
Privacy Notice Challenge & Webinar
Last week we announced the Privacy
Policy Snapshot Challenge which calls upon
developers, designers, health data privacy
experts, and creative, out-of-the-box thinkers
to use ONC’s
Model Privacy Notice template to create an
online tool that can generate a user-friendly
“snapshot” of a product’s privacy practices. ONC
will award a total of $35,000 in prizes through
this challenge.
Learn more about the challenge
by joining ONC’s upcoming Privacy Policy
Snapshot Challenge webinar. The webinar will
discuss the background of ONC’s Model Privacy
Notice initiative, get into the details of the
Privacy Policy Snapshot Challenge, and have a
live Q&A session with the challenge
managers.
Date & Time:
Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 2:00pm – 3:00pm
ET Register
for the webinar.
The deadline for challenge
submission is April 10, 2017 with winners
expected to be announced in mid-2017.
Interoperability
Proving Ground Now Makes It Easier To Upload
Multiple Projects
Have you been meaning to share
your interoperability work on the Interoperability
Proving Ground (IPG) but have too many to
enter? We heard your requests and are happy to
announce that the IPG now offers bulk upload
capabilities. If you have five or more projects
that you can’t wait to share with others in the
health IT community, but the one-by-one entry
process has been holding you back, now is the
time to act! For questions or concerns, please
contact ONC.Techlab@hhs.gov.
