For another example, the index file I'm experimenting > with for the California EDIS channel This is conceptually (aka index, TOC, etc.) the same approach the getCAPAlerts() function performs that I mentioned in an earlier email (http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/emergency-msg/200308/msg00007.html). While we each of taken different approaches, the idea of getting a "short list" of alerts to see before requesting the whole alert is common and becoming a pattern to watch. I think this was what you were touching on in an earlier email (http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/emergency-msg/200308/msg00019.html) as well. Allen -- R.
