Subject: I will chair the RIM call today.
RIM participants I will chair the meeting today. Dave Ellis -----Original Message----- From: Rex Brooks [mailto:rexb@starbourne.com] Sent: Thursday, June 18, 2009 7:55 AM To: emergency-rim@lists.oasis-open.org Subject: [emergency-rim] l will miss today's call Hi Everyone, Because the CAP-IPAWS Profile work is taking more time than previously scheduled, I will end up missing today's meeting. In checking Kavi I noted that it was time to schedule meetings again, so I did that, setting up meetings every 2 weeks at our regular time through June 2010. If you want to have a meeting in my absence, I would like to delegate stand-in chair duties to David Ellis, Werner Joerg or Jeff Waters in that order because David has volunteered to take on co-chair duties and has chair experience, Werner has chair experience and is conversant with the process we are undertaking to create the means for semi-automatic creation of Reference Architectures through the use of the formal RIM specification(s), and Jeff understands the current focus on explaining the RIM for non-technical audiences to communicate the importance of what we are attempting to do. I have started the "diagram of Audiences and Documents" which has morphed into an Excel spreadsheet matrix for AudienceTypes plotted against Document Types and I wish I could attend and explain how I think this can simplify not only our work on the RIM but also the Adoption Collateral and Documents SC, but the last two weeks have just been overwhelming. However, it is not far enough along to post to our documents page. Sorry. I encourage you to go ahead and meet, and have someone take meeting notes, so you can listen to David's specific focus on DE 1.1-2.0 concerns/issues to enable genuine secure message handling-distribution and soundly structured, policy-based information sharing. These are among the critical concepts we need to communicate to our initial audience for the importance of the RIM.
