Rex: Sounds good. I like protege 4 as well and think it is preferable to frames. --Jeff ----- Original Message ----- From: Rex Brooks <rexb@starbourne.com> To: emergency-rim@lists.oasis-open.org <emergency-rim@lists.oasis-open.org> Sent: Thu Nov 19 12:45:07 2009 Subject: [emergency-rim] Suggestion for meetings after Jan 1, 2010 Hi Everyone, Today's meeting was, I hope, a prelude of how I hope we can work through most of the rest of the work on the ValueListURN deliverable component of the EDXL RIM. While I didn't purposely misremember the use of System Boundaries in Use Cases, it served to get us into actively working together, a practice I hope we can expand and improve on. However, I might as well come clean now so it doesn't come as a surprise later, and so that anyone who wants to can get a leg up on the RDF Triples writing and Ontology Modeling, I have been planning to introduce and use Protege http://protege.stanford.edu/ <http://protege.stanford.edu/>If you are already familiar with this free toolset, ignore the rest of this paragraph. If not I suggest downloading and installing Protege 4.0 Owl v. Frames. I have nothing against Frames. It is the way that Protege used to be architected, e.g. with plug-ins for various features. I just find the Owl interface more comfortable since that is what I have used it for mostly. Either one is fine, and if folks prefer Frames, I'll swtich. They have reasonable documentation and provide relatively simple tutorials http://protege.stanford.edu/doc/users.html. In any event, my suggestion is for the SC to switch to weekly meetings after the start of the new year so that we don't lose the thread of our work over two week intervals as we get into more intensive work sessions. It will also improve our chances of making our target deliverable milestone.
