Subject: Re: NASEMSO in May - OASIS

Hi Everyone,

I decided to add the RIM SC and Adoption TCÂ to this message rather than attempt to synopsize this thread in separate RIM and Adoption messages. We will only have a half-hour for RIM, so please come early. Adoption TC: we will start a half-hour earlier to work with Tim on planning for the NASEMSO conference in May.

  • RIM SC: 11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
  • Adoption TC / NASEMSO planning: 11:30 a.m. -> ?
  • Adoption Collateral & Documents ? -> ?

I suggest everyone review the thread below for key NASEMSO information. Clearly we will need to be adaptable.

I have attached my notes from last week's telecom with IAEM folk, since that is what I planned to discuss in the RIM SC and Adoption calls, to strategize around looking forward to this year. For RIM: I'm going to be changing what part of the Framework/Toolkit I'm working on. Then we can just switch over to working with Tim.

Can you believe January is already just about over? NASEMSO in May, in whatever meeting context we choose or are assigned to, seems like the day after tomorrow. Not much slack in that schedule.

I'll be sending out the usual reminder for RIM and the Adoption Calls.

Cheers,
Rex

Now that I put that on my calendar, Iâm reminded the RIM call is during that hour. I think that will be fine though as we may have Jeff and Scott on the call as well. If you wish to chat with me only today or prior to that, text me a time or two that will work today or tomorrow morning. Best, Elysa

Â

Hi Tim,

Â

Have you looked at this response regarding a NASEMSO presentation in May? I have not responded nor asked Kevin which of the two committee meetings would be best to request a presentation. Have a look and letâs coordinate a response.Â

Â

We can do this and also discuss the possible proposal guidance you need during the adoption meeting time on Tues. We also need to discuss our response from IAEM. Can you make that meeting Tues 12-1EST?

Â

Thanks,

Elysa

Â

Elysa,

Â

As Kevin noted, we have a new meeting format which has only 3 general sessions for presenting to the membership. Instead of the large general sessions, we are concentrating on council and committee meetings, and are referring speakers to the council or committee which is the best fit. I think the most appropriate council might be the Data Managers Council or possibly the Health and Medical Preparedness Council (emergency preparedness focus), but Kevin may know better. If that is the case, I suggest you prepare a paragraph of what you intend to present and submit to Rachael Alter at Alter@nasemso.org who staffs the Data Managers Council and to Leslee Stein Spencer at spencer@nasemso.org

who staffs the Health and Medical Preparedness Council. I have attached our schedule at a glance for you to review in case you see another committee or council that may fit.

Â

I am happy to answer any questions you may have about this event. We appreciate your interest in working cooperatively with NASEMSO.

Hi Elysa,

Â

Itâs good to hear from you!

Â

Our annual meeting format has changed to eliminate most of the topical programming in general session. I am forwarding this to Mary Hedges with a copy to Beth for their best advice.

Â

Thanks,

Kevin

Â

Hi Kevin,

Â

Happy New Year! I hope this note finds you doing well.

Â

On our OASIS call today we discussed the possibility of another presentation at the NASEMSO this May. We would like to announce the completion of HAVE and TEP and may even be able to have a demonstration of sorts. Do you think there would be an interest? If so, how could we go about getting on the schedule? Last time I spoke with Beth Armstrong.

Â

Happy to have your thoughts,

Â
