Subject: Re: News story for approved Common Alerting Protocol Version 1.0

Thanks, Robin,

Since the email header didn't specifically show the TC list nor a
list of addressees, I am copying this reply to the TC list, and
asking that anyone who can supply a URL for reference to "Oregon's
Regional Alliances for Infrastructure and Network Security
(RAINS)[emergency alert system] " uses the Common Alerting Protocol
(CAP)..." send it along to Robin for inclusion in the news item.

This is definitely an example of the kind of news coverage we need to
encourage and support, and reference on the TC page under news items.

Note to designated chair proxy(s) during Allen's leave: we need to
ask the OASIS webmaster to include a link to this news item

http://www.fcw.com/supplements/homeland/2004/sup1/hom-programs3-02-23-04.asp

and to Robin's news item

http://xml.coverpages.org/ni2004-02-26-a.html

on the TC page and the public TC page, as well as having the fact
sheet on both pages as well. Public support, and the reflected glow
of public approval on the well-known corporate members supporting the
effort (voting for approval), is a force we shouldn't ignore. Good PR
shines on everyone.

Ciao,
Rex
