Subject: RE: CAP Newsletter?

Thanks, Janine,

Somehow your problems of last week don't surprise me. It is probably
just synchronicity though, as there does not seem to be any reporting
of unusual failures on the net nor any vigorous new worms or viruses.

Anyway, we were trying to be somewhat in synch with the OASIS
announcement of CAP's approval as a standard last Wednesday, but
that's simply last week's news at this point. I am copying Carol
Geyer at OASIS with this, and the Emergency Management Technical
Committee list, with this reply, just to let them know where this
stands. There should be no extra special hurry at this point, but we
will use all of our personal contacts to spread the word after we
know the newsletter is up online. The object of the ongoing publicity
at this point is now to encourage adoption of the CAP standard, and
keep it in front of as many audiences as we can.

The good news is that, however crippled and slow, my email seems to
be working somewhat. Perhaps Murphy is trying again to teach me
patience, again. Sigh.

We'll get there. I look forward to looking it over whenever you can
get it to me.

Thanks, again,
Rex
