Elysa,
I’m sorry, but this is not something
that we can support on site. We have far too many commitments coming out of
this hurricane recovery, and, of course, the war waits for no man. We might be
able to send CAP from here if there is a configuration that supports it, but
that's about it.
Sorry,
Patti

Greetings,
On September 28 there will be a demonstration of the OASIS Common Alerting
Protocol version 1.0 (CAP 1.0). This will be part of National
Preparedness Month, and will be sponsored by the DHS Disaster Management
Initiative and the Emergency Interoperability Consortium (www.eic.org).
The demonstration will be centered in Washington and focused on three major
government users of CAP 1.0: NOAA, USGS and CAPWIN. However, any company
that has built an interface to the DMIS interoperability server and CAP 1.0 may
participate and will receive recognition. You may participate in person,
or remotely. This is an excellent opportunity to expose your company’s
technology to the emergency response community and Federal agencies. We
encourage vendors who do not currently have the capability to perform these
functions to work with us to develop the interfaces necessary to exchange these
types of date messages.
If you are interested, please contact Sukumar Dwarkanath at sdwarkanath@dm-program.org, or at
202-429-0574. There may be limitations on the number of participants, so
please let us know by next Tuesday if you are seriously interested. We
will provide more details for those companies that wish to participate.
There will be follow on demonstrations in October and November for companies
that have built interfaces to the EDXL prototypes as well.
Best wishes,
David Aylward
