The live demonstration showed how two simple UDEF IDs could discover the actual quantity of 9-volt batteries available in inventory at Home Depot based on postal zone code for the disaster response scenario described in the pilot that I distributed last Friday. On November 10th from 10 AM until noon, the federal Data Reference Model (DRM) Implementation Through Iteration and Testing (ITIT) team will be meeting at a yet to be decided Lockheed Martin facility to hear about the UDEF Pilot and to see the demo. During yesterday's UDEF discussions in Houston, there was strong interest expressed in the mappings that have already been made across various standards to the UDEF. The Electronics Industry Data Exchange (EIDX) XREF team of CompTIA have mapped a typical purchase order in X12, EDIFACT, RosettaNet, OAGIS and XCBL to each other and to the UDEF. You can fill-in the requested fields and download the XREF from the following URL -- http://eidx.comptia.org/guidelines/xref_download.aspx Ron Schuldt Senior Staff Systems Architect Lockheed Martin Enterprise Information Systems P.O.
