Subject: RE: [emix] modeling / tools example

Technical notes -

Both HyperModel, http://xmlmodeling.com/)  and ArgoUML cannot export the model components as XSD.

This is a major draw back.  Commercial tools like CA ERwin can create XSD from model.  Import of Argo XMI into ERwin is currently broken - but I'm hoping they will fix their adaptor.
Also - development on HyperModel has stopped and its not open source.

Thanks, DW

Just to add more support for considering 11179 in the work of this TC, a
number of OGC registry/catalogue standards and ISO TC 211 (geomatics)
standards are grounded in 11179.
