If a price/quantity/ product is associated with a specific unit/resource then unit/resource identifiers are required as suggested by the commenter.  In ISO/RTO markets such identifiers are standard and are described in the CIM among other places.

As with my response to EMIX Issue 3, we need to decide how much of this detail should be part of EMIX and how much should be in Energy Interop.  Clearly Energy Inter0p  must provide for bidding into ISOs and RTOs using current standard protocols where the bid can be tied to specific resources and resource characteristics.
