Extended price is price ($/kWh) times energy quantity in kWh.  Energy quantity is the rate of delivery (power) in kW times the duration of the interval in hours.

Extended price is revenue to the seller and cost to the buyer.  It is a standard accounting and business term, although confusing,  It is the total price of at transactions and not the unit price.
