Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (EMIX-295) Clarify and makeconsistent the use of Resource and Asset across Energy interoperation andEMIX

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/EMIX-295?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=24593#action_24593 ]

William Cox commented on EMIX-295:
----------------------------------

Wording to consider:

"Resource is a logical set of attributes that you put into a program. Maybe you only enroll "turn off lights" - meaning the resource itself is not controlling the asset. Can be controlled by things that the Resource defines as "controllable""

> Clarify and make consistent the use of Resource and Asset across Energy interoperation and EMIX

> Key: EMIX-295
> URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/EMIX-295
> Project: OASIS Energy Market Information Exchange (eMIX) TC
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Affects Versions: csprd01 Public Review Draft
> Environment: William Cox based on Energyinterop-289

> The terminology around "resource" and "asset" is confusing and should be consistent across EMIX and Energy Interop. This may require a rewrite of lines 736-751 in EnergyInterop which may include a reference rather than a quotation of a rewrite of EMIX PR01 Lines 183-197 and section 7.
