Subject: Emergency Urgent, and Routine

There is a concept in the CIM of Emergency operations.

How fast could a resource ramp in an emergency?

How high could a resource ramp in an emergency?

How long could a resource run in an emergency?

All of these appear to be higher, faster, longer than the “manufacturer’s recommendations”. As I understand it, any operator will happily overclock his generator, but he expects to be paid well for it, to pay for the early failure / heightened maintenance / …

An advantage of this approach is that we can keep the objects simpler. Perhaps we need the enumerations to label each of these simpler products: Emergency / Normal / any others?

I believe that these are offered to the market as a different product, one with higher cost requirements. Perhaps because these two products have the same MRID, we can build market rules that one can only buy one product from an MRID  at a time.

Thoughts?
