Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (EMIX-296) SGIP Tiger Team WhitePaper Contribution Issues

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/EMIX-296?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=24672#action_24672 ]

Bruce Bartell commented on EMIX-296:
------------------------------------

Summary of actionable issues as specified in section 3.2.1 of the TT White paper.
Note that the attached zip file within the paper contains the suggested schema changes to EMIX.

1)	Use of substitution groups to define descendents of gluon and interval to represent Price/Product and other components
	1.	Use Substitution Groups for powerProductDescription (substitution group =emix:gluon) and powerProductData (substitution group =emix:interval)
	2.	Examples are provided in the revised (in associated zip file at the end of the White Paper) Power.xsd, Resource.xsd and are also applicable to transport.xsd.
	3.	In the revised EMIX Schema the emix:sequence contains the Power Products (which I never could find before this change).
2)	Use of CIM Part 9 data/NAESB structures for representing measurements
	1.	Use ReadingType from CIM to replace powerUnits. This is part of the UsagePoint in NAESB.eui.xsd and referenced in the revised Resource.xsd
3)	Separation of descriptive and data components of Price/Product
	1.	See #2. Allows for use of substitution groups for gluon and interval and is consistent with EMIX "term".
4)	Extension of type-powerProductData to expose block and tier that would allow a parallel to SEP2 similar constructs
	1.	See TimeTariffInterval in revised schemas
	2.	Addresses Issue EMIX-129
5)	Use of NAESB model components or extensions of them when possible without loss of desired semantics
	1.	Extension of NAESB UsagePoint to enhance EMIX type-emixUsage
	2.	use Service Delivery Point with extensions (defined in naesb.eui.xsd.
