Well, that is today's market. An agregator *may* choose to use EI to talk to its customers. A green neighborhood HOA *may* choose to use EI to talk to the homes and clubhouse. We have even had an chip maker talking about EI in silicon for appliances w/i a home. EI hopes to support symmetry and recursion.

There is also the potential that sub-systems in large commercial buildings would alling the BACnet load control objects with EI and EMIX.

Entity may not be the best word, but it is trying to solve something. Clearly I was in the room when we voted for entity, I beleive it was on a TC call, but I do not recall the moment.
