Subject: Scrub TeMIX?
With the re-casting into Terms, then the distinction between the EMIX Product and the TeMIX Product (top level objects, not the TeMIX Product Descriptions in Power) is now only that Temix Product has an optional Tender Expiration Date. If we add the Tender Expiration Date to EMIX Product they are identical. If we eliminate this top level TeMIX Product, then TeMIX truly becomes a constrained profile of the normal EMIX Core Objects. This is “tidier” and aligns with several of the comments from the IRC. There would still be the TeMIX Product Descriptions in Power, still defined entirely in block power transactions. Those Product Descriptions could travel in any of the [now] Three top level Types: Product, Option, and Delivery. (Well Delivery is reporting, but….) What then remains of TeMIX: 1) Simple Product Descriptions of block power 2) Highly constrained Terms that exclude the “Resource Oriented” set 3) The ability to be constrained far tighter by using the Standard Terms Thumbs up or down…. tc “The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.”
