Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (EMIX-481) EMIX Product

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/EMIX-481?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=27035#action_27035 ]

Edward Cazalet commented on EMIX-481:
--------------------------------------

Would it be clearer if we had a text name for each product such as Energy, Regulation Up, Regulation Down, Spinnging Reserve, Non Spinning Reserve as suggested by the IRC? If so, do all IRC members use exactly the same names or should the names be extensible? Does the Enumeration Power Contract Type Name definedi n Table 10-1 provide the desired functionality? Would relableing or aliasing this Name as Product Name resolve the confusion?

> The text and table in this section imply that the "product description" is the service like energy, spinning reserve etc and that "product" is the generic term for offers and bids of that product description (ie. it has time, price, quantity associate with it). This is an unfortunate naming convention. It also conflicts later with the product description schema that also appears to have price.
