Subject: Call for Participation-Speakers & Contributors-COMDEX, MACWORLD, WOW EVENTS

Dear Industry Colleague:

This letter is to introduce you to several key opportunities underway at the World Organization of Webmasters (WOW) and to let you know that we'd like you to get involved as an individual/corporation which recognizes the value of the education of today's aspiring and practicing Web professional market.

As a non-profit professional organization, a key part of WOW's mission is to provide information and knowledge to Web Professionals and to introduce cutting edge solutions.  By participating, you not only increase your market visibility, but support WOW, and Web Professionals everywhere.

We would like you to participate in the following: 

* Call for Speakers, Web Designers and Web Design firms: WOW Iron Chef of Web Design challenge, MacWorld Boston July 13, 14 2004.  WOW's Iron Chef Competitions are one day events at internationally recognized trade shows and have been featured on CNN and Major IT publications worldwide.  In addition to the WOW Iron Chef competition, WOW is placing this call for speakers for a series of (6) Web centric sessions to be held in the WOW 30x30 booth at Mac World Boston during the event. * Call for Speakers: COMDEX Las Vegas, November 2004. WOW is placing a call for speakers for a series (11) of Web services centric sessions. Topics include but not limited to, Web Services best practices, Web Services security, Choosing a Platform: Getting the most from your Web Services and Web application investment, What are Web Services and Web Services for Managers.  Please submit your ideas and speaker recommendations to Robert Luster at ( robert@joinwow.org ) Deadline for speaker submission is June 17th 2004.  

* Call for Contest Prize Donations: Later this month, WOW will be conducting a National Web design competition June 21-25, Kansas City, MO. The contest is in collaboration with SkillsUSA (formerly VICA), a membership supported organization representing 225,000 high school and colleges nationwide. Hundreds of aspiring Web professionals in high school and colleges from 30 states nationwide will be competing for this first time in SkillsUSA history. WOW is looking for prize donations of any kind.  Please help WOW send a warm welcome to our industry to these aspiring Web professionals by offering a prize for this event. * Call for participation as content contributors, section editors for the WOW online newsletter.  WOW's newsletter www.joinwow.org/newsletter is viewed by thousands of Web professionals each month and we would like to place this call to you as a contributor/section editor. WOW's content covers a wide variety of Web centric topics including Web design and development, Web engineering and project management, Internet Law, Accessibility and Usability, Web server and Administration, Web Services and Web Security.  

If you will get involved in one or more of these ways, we will create a press release announcing your participation/involvement and highlights your commitment to Web professional education. WOW will also feature your contribution prominently on the WOW website.  

This effort is all about assisting aspiring and practicing Web professionals and at the same time increasing the brand/product awareness of you and your company.
