Subject: Implementation Methodology - Differences
Marc Haines added the following comment to the FWSI-IMSC-Document-02.doc document in the FWSI Implementation Methodology SC Group. Implementation Methodology: Focus on the Differences It is important that this document discusses all phases of the implementation life cycle. In my view the focus, however, should be on activities that are significantly different to other types of software implementations (i.e., client/server applications). These are the points software developers have to watch out for and can make significant gains in efficiency if applied correctly. I would like to see some more discussion on this issue and try to base it on a solid foundation (industry experience and IS literature/theory). The activities around the design of the interface is perhaps an area that needs to be emphasized and require a substantial and detailed discussion.
