Subject: Re: [humanmarkup-comment] Fw: HumanML @Homeland Security Convention?
I just made my reservations this morning for NYC Jan 6-10 for the Web Services Component Model Meetings at the IBM Research Center in Hawthorne, NY. It is unlikely that I could be two places at once, but it is possible, if there is a way to get me there, because the WSCM is teleconference & Apps-Sharing enabled, and Kurt will be helping me with preparing materials and there is a great deal of overlap in terms of profiling, personalization of information, control of personal information, interactivity components, user interface components, and XForms. It might also be possible to conduct simultaneous powerpoint presentations via the web if hours on the 7th could be synchronized. My presentation in the WSCM meeting is supposed to be kept to 20 min. Plus there is a small mountain of work there, so I'm not inclined to try to be on the phone all day for a couple of days and conduct presentations. Might it be possible to get Kurt to Las Vegas since my tickets to NYC are non-refundable and non-transferable? I can't say I'm thrilled at the prospect, just that it is possible since a presentation is going to be prepared on the inter-relationship between Web Services Component Model TC and HumanMarkup TC work. Of course I may hitch a ride on a slow steamer to Tahiti the next day. ;) Rex At 6:20 PM -0500 12/6/01, Ranjeeth Kumar Thunga wrote: >I wish I could make it, but have to decline. > >I don't think Rex will be able to make it either (unless you decide Rex this >conference is more important than NYC), but if there is anyone interested in >representing HumanML at the Emerging Technologies conference, feel free to >let us know. > >Ranjeeth Kumar Thunga > > > >----- Original Message ----- >From: <Owen_Ambur@fws.gov> >To: <rkthunga@humanmarkup.org>; <rexb@starbourne.com> >Sent: Thursday, December 06, 2001 5:47 PM >Subject: HumanML @Homeland Security Convention? > > >> Ranjeeth and Rex, based upon the information available to me, it has been >> my assumption that it probably would not be possible to include Human ML >in >> the agenda for the Homeland Security Convention.
