Subject: [humanmarkup] Changing the Short Name of the TC

Hi Everyone,

One of the items of concern with regard to our specification and
future specifications is the official "short name" of the TC. This is
what you see in messages from our mailing lists like this:
[humanmarkup] [humanmarkup-comment].

When we started our TC I didn't understand that this form would be
part of the official target namespace for our TC. Regardless of the
fact that I am going to suggest that OASIS adopt an alternate form of
namespace location specifier, using a URL reference for those TCs
such as HumanMarkup which provide xmlschema.xsd files as the
normative specifications, we decided before joining OASIS that our
namespace prefix would be"huml:" and for the sake of consistency it
would be good if our "short name" was the same.

So I would like to formally change our short name to huml for the
sake of this consistency and to allow our URN namespace to be
specified as "huml" as well.

We can decide this by mail or in our next meeting. It would be better
to make this change before we make our public announcement about the
30-day comment period.

Ciao,
Rex
