[humanmarkup] Sylvia's Proofread copy and commentary

Here is Sylvia's proofreading and her comments and arguments in favor 
of changing sign and symbol, although there are corollary additions 
which I would think also need to be discussed in the context of the 
public comment period with as many experts as we can field both from 
the xml and the semiotic communities.
