Subject: [huml] Notes

Hi Folks,

Just a quick note to say that I have surfaced from my monomaniacal
vertex-by-vertex weighting of the medium resolution generic human
models, male and female. Or near enough. That means I can now catch
up on tasks like the minutes of last week's TC meeting, which I will
get out later today. I can't tell y'all how much better I feel now
that this culmination point has been reached. There is still much to
do, but once I have tested them a bit more, I can start on the
vertex/polygon reduction which will make them useful for the chat
app--a process which should not require quite as much time and
effort, but is significant nevertheless.

Another note to say that my involvement in the Emergency Management
TC ties in very importantly with our work, and with E-gov TC work, so
Ranjeeth and I will be noodling a lot in the near future, and I have
some hope that we may finally be onto a track which will get us the
recognition and increased participation we need to get our work onto
a faster track.

Last note for now to say that Web Services is slogging along
submerged in details still, but nearing completion for all that. I
will be folding the chat app into a suite of Portal/Portlet apps
which I think will also leverage the entire package of emerging
technologies in which HumanML can play a part. My thinking is that
Municipal communities is a viable target for Local Portals. More to
come.

Ciao,
Rex
