Minutes of ICOM TC Meeting, May 27, taken by Eric S. Chan

2. Approval of draft minute from May 13 TC Meeting is deferred due to lack of quorum.

 

3. The participants in this meeting generally discussed about reconciling the Beehive Workspace and SIOC Ontology as the starting point to define the ICOM workspace. Members have yet to update the ICOM wiki pages with proposals for the ICOM workspace model.

 

Eric mentioned an open source community is interested in ICOM from an open source reference implementation standpoint. Eric discussed the use of Java Persistence API to prototype and validate the ICOM model. JPA prototypes can be extended as a reference implementation of ICOM. Jenabean (http://code.google.com/p/jenabean/) can be used to map JPA model to RDF/OWL. Marc Pallot will discuss with Ecospace members about JPA for ICOM.

 

4. Eric sent the ICOM presentation slides to members before the meeting. There were no specific feedbacks regarding the slides.
