Subject: RE: [icom] Agenda for ICOM TC Meeting on May 12, 9:00 - 10:00 AM PDT

Hello all,

Please do propose your ideas for the ICOM workshop agenda. The agenda below was proposed by Marc, who also expressed that we may not be ready for  Beehive-BSCW-Drupal use cases until the end of 2010 after some experimenting.

·         Introduction to the ICOM model

·         Experiencing the ICOM model with use case scenarios

·         How to develop ICOM connectors for ICOM JPA runtime

·         Experiencing ICOM Interoperability through Beehive-BSCW-Drupal use cases

I propose to add the following discussions in the agenda today.

·         weekly ICOM TC meeting until the workshop

·         a use case for faceted search and relation navigation using ICOM

·         how to use Beehive to generate the data in the ICOM schema and transform the data to RDF

Thanks,

Eric

Agenda

2.   Approve draft minutes from April 28 TC Meeting

http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/icom/email/archives/201005/msg00001.html

3.   Discuss tutorials and use cases for the ICOM workshop on June 28, 29

Here is a proposed agenda for the ICOM workshop:

• Introduction to the ICOM model

• Experiencing the ICOM model with use case scenarios

• How to develop ICOM connectors for ICOM JPA runtime

• Experiencing ICOM Interoperability through Beehive-BSCW-Drupal use cases

Focus on use cases that highlight the following benefits of ICOM:

• fill the gaps and reduce fragmentation of collaboration tools.

• enable common clients to interoperate with collaboration platforms from multiple vendors to support a broad range of collaboration activities.

• enable integration of collaboration artifacts across repositories, platforms, protocols, or services.

• enable relevance ranking, faceted search, and relational navigation via linked-data across sites.

• enable contextual collaboration in Enterprise Business Applications.

• facilitate Enterprise 2.0 by enabling the artifacts in unstructured collaboration activities to intersect with the business objects in structured business processes.
