Subject: RE: [icom] Draft Minutes of ICOM TC Meeting, March 2, 2011

Correction:

Peter Saint-Andre: change relation between occurrence and conference from many-to-one relationship to many-to-many relationship, i.e. a meeting can be associated with three conferences, a voice conference, web conference, and chat room conference. Similarly relationships between occurrence series and calendar should be many-to-many.

Thanks,

Eric

2. Draft minutes from Feb 16 TC Meeting was approved.

3. Motion to vote for Committee Specification Draft

Eric: before a motion to vote for Committee Specification Draft, lets’ discuss how to address a few reviewer’s feedbacks that the draft needs more introductory texts to help the readers understand the contexts and use cases.

Patrick: a specification needs not include warm and fussy tutorial texts; it is to serve as a specification for multi-million dollar industry and governmental contracts. Tutorial texts can be supplied in separate documents (such as Primer).

Peter Yim: instead of maintaining a Primer as part of the deliverables of the TC, the specification can include two links, one for the TC page and one to the TC wiki page. The wiki page can provide more up-to-date primer, use cases, tutorials, etc.

Action Item: add URL’s to the TC and TC wiki page. Update wiki page.

Peter Saint-Andre: need references to other standards and technologies reused by ICOM, such as RFC-3920 which is the source for ICOM Presence and Instant Message model.

Action Item: Refer to the related standards in the introduction and non-normative references section for LDAP, CMIS, JCR, WebDAV, IMAP, SMTP, XMPP, iCalendar, CalDAV, vCard, FOAF, SIOC, OpenSocial, Facebook Platform Open Graph, BPEL, BPEL4People, and WS-HumanTask.

Peter Saint-Andre: separate Instant Message model from Presence model.

Action Item: move InstantMessage Feed and Connection model from Presence module to Message module. Use a separate class diagram to illustrate InstantMessageConnection as one of many possible channels to supply Presence information and associated ContactMethod information.

Peter Saint-Andre: change relation between occurrence and calendar from one-to-many relationship to many-to-many relationship, i.e. a meeting can be associated with three conferences, a voice conference, web conference, and chat room conference.

Action Item: Eric will update the draft to incorporate comments from this TC Meeting. Will collect additional comments from Peter Saint-Andre later this week or next week.

Action Item: Eric will schedule two weekly TC meetings on March 9 and March 16 to complete the review and vote for Committee Specification Draft.

4. AOB

The TC Meeting was adjourned.
