Results of 15 day Public Review for CSPRD-02 The 15 days Public Review began on Nov 20 and concluded COB December 5. No feedbacks were received. Participants agreed to assign sections of the CSPRD 02 to each active TC member to review. TC Members who are assigned to review sections of the draft shall provide feedbacks by the TC Meeting on Dec 21. Please let the TC know if you need more time. If member feedbacks result in changes to CSPRD 02, the TC will produce CSPRD 03 for another round of Public Review. Otherwise the TC can use the CSPRD 02 for Committee Specification (no longer a draft). If there are no changes to the draft by Dec 21, Eric can request the TC Administrator to conduct a ballot to approve the Committee Specification. Please see Section 3.3 of the OASIS TC process at http://www.oasis-open.org/policies-guidelines/tc-process#committeeSpec regarding the procedure for approving a Committee Specification. After the Committee Specification draft is approved by the TC, the TC will need to obtain three Statements of Use explicitly referencing the Committee Specification, including the approval date. Any three of the organizations contributing to the TC, including Oracle, DERI, Cisco, are eligible for submitting the Statements of Use to the TC. Statement of Use is defined as follows in http://www.oasis-open.org/policies-guidelines/tc-process#definitions. (Please see http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/kmip/201001/msg00009.html for examples): aq. "Statement of Use", with respect to a Committee Specification, is a written statement by an OASIS Organizational Member stating that it is successfully using or implementing that specification in accordance with the conformance clauses specified in Section 2.18, identifying those clauses that apply, and stating whether its use included the interoperation of multiple independent implementations. A Statement of Use must be endorsed by the Organizational Member's Primary Representative. After obtaining three Statements of Use, the TC members can resolve (by Special Majority Vote) to submit the Committee Specification as a Candidate OASIS Standard to TC Administrator. The ”Special Majority Vote” requires at least 2/3 (two thirds) of the Voting Members vote "yes" and no more than 1/4 (one fourth) of the Voting Members vote "no." Please refer to section 3.4 of the OASIS TC process at http://www.oasis-open.org/policies-guidelines/tc-process#OASISstandard for the three steps process to approve an OASIS Standard. The process involves a 60 days public review and a membership-wide ballot by OASIS Organizational Members (need at least 15 percent of the voting OASIS Membership to cast positive votes and fewer than 25% of all votes are negative). 3. RDF Ontology for Contact and Person modules for Ontolog Semantic Media Wiki Laura uploaded the RDF/XML documents for Contact and Person modules. Eric suggested to organize the document to match up with the XML schema documents (part of CSPRD 02) to more clearly show the correspondences of the classes and properties between OO/XML and RDF/XML representations. Peter indicated that a member of PSMW working group is working on applying ICOM ontology for Contact, Person, and other modules for the migration of Ontolog wiki content to purple semantic media wiki. 4. AOB TC meeting on Jan 4 will be moved to Jan 11. The TC meeting was adjourned. |
