2. Minutes of the meeting on July 18.

There were no amendments to the minutes.  They were approved unanimously.

3. Brief report by Ken Baclawski on the OASIS general meeting.

The OASIS Board approved a change to the policy for submission of documents.  A TC can make non-substantive changes without requiring another public review.

4. Committee Specification Draft 04.

Eric Chan moved and Peter Yim seconded the following:

The ICOM TC approves the latest version of the draft standard at

https://www.oasis-open.org/committees/download.php/46517/icom-ics-v1.0-csprd04-July-22-2012.zip

Document Name: Committee Specification Draft 04 / Public Review Draft 04 - zip file

The motion passed unanimously.

5. Open JIRA issues.
 (a) Should we continue to make use of JIRA?

The consensus was that we will continue to use JIRA for issues.

 (b) If so, then we should bring it up to date.

Eric and Patrick will look over the issues assigned to them.
They will make recommendations that will be discussed at the next TC meeting.

6. Draft of article for submission to the WISE2012 Workshop: Engineering the
Semantic Enterprise (ESE2012).

The latest draft was sent to the mailing list:

https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/icom/email/archives/201208/msg00005.html

You can make updates to:

The due date for the abstract is 27 August 2012 and for the full article is 3 September 2012.  The paper will be finalized at the next TC meeting.

7. We will hold an unofficial meeting on August 15, 2012 at 8:45am PDT to discuss a possible joint virtual session with Ontolog and other groups (e.g., OASIS and IAOA) regarding the relationships between standards and ontologies.  We can showcase the various ICOM artifacts (the specification, JPA, RDF, OWL) as well as the tools to automatically generate OWL from the specification.  The session could also include some demos.
