Subject: RE: [id-cloud] Groups - Naming Normalization (id-cloud use case naming normalization.xlsx) uploaded

Matt et al,

I like your cleaner organization of the relationships.  My one small observation, especially given our Identity focus, is that there was one additional level of naming of Identity Management Services, below the level of the previously agreed buckets.  Although the specifics might be improved, do you not think it’s worth keeping that additional level in scope here?  Or perhaps this diagram isn’t the right place, but somewhere else? Perhaps this is what you meant re “guidance on service naming”.  But if not us, now… who, when?

Thanks very much Roger,

Roger, Gershon, Peter, Dale, Anil,

I've worked from the excellent XLS spreadsheet you created and developed a diagram using the data/structure you collected and organized while trying to show what I was thinking/proposing during our last small group call in a graphical manner.  The diagram initially attempts to address fully qualified "roles" (as this is the most varied and important to qualify), but I believe that if you ignore the "role" specific qualifications/aspects it might also serve well for guidance on service naming.

Here is the diagram under the TC's document area:

or:

TC Members,

Everyone please comment immediately, I feel that if there is nothing major wrong with using this diagram as a basis for normalizing actors/service references (accepting comments) that I use this for my last major pass over the use case document.

We can further clarify (and codify into some pseudo expression) later for inclusion in document, but I need to start normalizing against this if we have hope of producing a Comm. Draft anytime soon.

Kind regards,
Matt

Matt, Gershon, Peter, Dale, Anil, (Doron?)

sorry it's taken me so long to get out this update with 'schema' content,
per our last call. I've been less than 100% consistent, I fear, with the
approach and structure, but please take a look.  In particular, there are
various items marked with ?? that I'm unsure of.

Best regards,
Roger
