Subject: Suggestion to make the Metadata in the Information Card optional
I would like to make the Metadata optional because in 99% of the cases there is no new info in the Metadata. Everything that is needed is in the card already. All this should be optional: <Metadata><Metadata xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2004/09/mex"><MetadataSection><Meta dataReference><Address xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2005/08/addressing">https://cardpress.azigo.net /azigo-cardpress/services/metadata</Address></MetadataReference></Metada taSection></Metadata></Metadata> If it is missing than the Binding is "TransportBinding" and the selector sends the RST to the EndpointReference in SSL. -Axel -----Original Message----- From: OASIS Issues Tracker [mailto:workgroup_mailer@lists.oasis-open.org] Sent: Thursday, April 15, 2010 5:44 PM To: imi@lists.oasis-open.org Subject: [imi] [OASIS Issue Tracker] Created: (IMI-39) Suggestion to remove SupportedTokenTypeList from cards Suggestion to remove SupportedTokenTypeList from cards ------------------------------------------------------ Key: IMI-39 URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/IMI-39 Project: OASIS Identity Metasystem Interoperability (IMI) TC Issue Type: New Feature Components: Schema, Spec Affects Versions: SAML 2.0 Profile PR Reporter: Scott Cantor http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/imi-comment/201004/msg00001.html It seems that with every new token profile that gets added to IMI, all already existing cards need to be reissued, because the supported token types are listed in the .crd file. Maybe it would be better to remove SupportedTokenTypeList from the .crd files and instead let selectors ask the Metadata endpoint. This way STSes can over time add support for new token types even for already existing cards. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this mail list, you must leave the OASIS TC that generates this mail.
