Subject: RE: [kmip] Groups - Proposal for Renaming the Application Specific Identification attribute v2 (Proposal for Renaming AppSpecID-2.pdf) uploaded
Where the proposal says that the Client can request the Server to set or modify values: "Initially set by: Client or Server only if requested by Client" "Modifiable by server: Yes, only if requested by Client " How does the client request the server do this? Some editorial comments: - the statement "is used to store data which is specific" should be "is used to store data that is specific" - there is usage of "can" and "will"; might these be converted to alternatives to align with RFC 2119 guidance? This document is revision #3 of Proposal for Renaming AppSpecID.doc. Document Description: Purpose: Rename the Application Specific Identification attribute because the current name does describe the purpose of this attribute accurately. It can be used for a variety of different purposes and not only for storing the intended use of a managed object. Thus, the attribute would benefit from a more generic name.
