hi -

here's a cut at an abstract for the KMIP panel proposal for RSA
Conference Europe 2010 (Oct. 12-14), SNW US and SNW Europe (based on the
presentation I'll be doing at the Key Management Summit in May) that we
discussed in today's call. Please let me know of any suggestions /
corrections? And if you're interested in taking part in one or more of
the panels, please let me know?

(Gordon, do you have the SNW dates?)
		 		 		 		 
I'm also checking with the RSA Conference folks on whether it would be
best to have this submitted by OASIS or by one of the panel
participants.

Title: Achieving Enterprise Key Management the KMIP Standard

This panel explores using the recently-established OASIS Key Management
Interoperability Protocol (KMIP) standard to achieve enterprise key
management. The panel will discuss such questions as the use cases
addressed by the standard and the significance of these use cases for
enterprise security. It will also explore the objects, attributes and
operations defined by the standard, showing how these elements of the
standard are used for several sample use cases, as well as industry
implementations of the standard and the profiles that define conformance
of these implementations to the KMIP standard.
