proposed motion

Hi –

There are several motions I’d like to consider in tomorrow’s meeting.

The first is a motion such as the following, to submit the Spec and Profiles to OASIS membership:

“The KMIP Technical Committee requests the KMIP co-chairs to create a ballot to submit the KMIP Specification Version 1.1 Committee Specification and KMIP Profiles Version 1.1 Committee Specification as a Candidate OASIS Standards and to request OASIS to initiate the process for review of these candidate standards by the OASIS membership, as defined in the OASIS Technical Committee Process, section 3.4.1.”

The second is a motion such as the following, to initiate a process for maintaining a library of KMIP Profiles.

[ ] moves that a KMIP profile library be established, as defined in “Proposal for a KMIP Profile Library” posted by Bob Griffin on 25-Jul-2012.

Assuming that this motion passes, I’d like to consider motions to approve the HTTPS profile as Committee Draft.

[ ] moves that a KMIP profile library be established, as defined in “kmip-https-profile-v1.0-wd04” posted by Tim Hudson on 27-Jun-2012.
