Maybe we're looking at different test cases?

I'm looking at kmip-tape-lib-profile-v1.0-cos01, the document that was just voted on.

Go to TL-M-2-10. Look at lines 0051 to 0061. The types of the two custom attributes in the Create operation are, in order, Integer, and DateTime.

Now go to TL-M-3-10. Look at lines 0310 to 0326. The same attributes as in TM-M-2-10 are subject to the ModifyAttribute operation. The types for these same two attributes are reversed; i.e. in order, DateTime , and Integer.

It's the same for TL-M-2-11, TL-M-2-12, TL-M-3-11, and TL-M-3-12.

The test cases specify the ModifyAttribute command. The attributes specified start with "x-". I don't understand how ModifyAttribute specifying a custom attribute in a mandatory test case can mean anything other than the test cases require custom attributes to be modified. I can see no "out clauses" for this behaviour anywhere in the document.

John

Nor do the test cases require custom attribute types to be modified.
You are (it seems) reading requirements in the specification that are not actually present in the test cases.

Tim.
