Subject: Re: [legalcitem] My apologies for missing today's meeting
Chet,
A quick question about the Kavi infrastructure: are the chats archived?
When there is a press of work in Citation Style Language development,
we tend to use bi-lateral chat quite a bit to thrash out approaches to
specific issues. The record of those discussions is used by the
coordinator to keep track of what had been agreed when distilling it
into memoranda, and then into the specification when consensus is
achieved.
The workflow there seems to be roughly similar to what is contemplated
by the TC/SC divide, and as we settle into SC work, I reckon the
sub-committees be trying out various communication channels to figure
out what works for them. If Kavi chats are (or can be) archived, that
might be interesting in some contexts.
