Subject: 15-day Public Review for Akoma Ntoso Naming Convention Version 1.0 - ends June 24th

OASIS members and other interested parties,

The OASIS LegalDocumentML (LegalDocML) TC members [1] have produced an updated Committee Specification Draft (CSD) and submitted this specification for 15-day public review:

Akoma Ntoso Naming Convention Version 1.0
Committee Specification Draft 02 / Public Review Draft 02
04 May 2016

What is the Naming Convention and why is it important?

Akoma Ntoso Naming Convention Version 1.0 provides the naming convention for defining IRIs and ids related to the Akoma Ntoso XML standard. (See the public review announcement for Akoma Ntoso V1.0 at https://www.oasis-open.org/news/announcements/15-day-public-review-for-legaldocmls-akoma-ntoso-v1-0-ends-june-21st.) Within the schema of Akoma Ntoso, id attributes are declared as optional, but whenever attributes eId and wId are actually used the specifications in this document are mandatory.

TC Description:

The LegalDocML TC produced the Akoma Ntoso XML schema 3.0 and main documentation. The TC is now working on the advanced documentation, tutorial material and success stories.

Public Review Period:

The public review starts 10 June 2016 at 00:00 UTC and ends 24 June 2016 at 11:59 UTC. The specification was previously submitted for public review [2]. This 15-day review is limited in scope to changes made from the previous review. Changes are highlighted in the redlined DIFF file [3].
