ECF 4.1 Issue

Although the first Pubic Review for ECF v4.1 has closed, I have noted one additional issue.

 

Inconsistencies in the namespace URI for the ‘wsu’ prefix for ECF v4.1 have been observed.

 

In wrappers.xsd,

 

xmlns:wsu=http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-361 wssecurity-utility-1.0.xsd

 

In CourtRecordMDE.wsdl, ServiceMDE.wsdl, FilingReviewMDE.wsdl, and FilingAssemblyMDE.wsdl:

 

xmlns:wsu=http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-utility-1.0.xsd

 

 

The correct URI, per:

cited within the ECF 4.1 Web Services SIP specification is:

• wsu - http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-utility-1.0.xsd

 

It’s not clear why the ‘wsu’ namespace prefix is defined within wrappers.xsd, but if it is to be included, the correct namespace URI should be provided.

 

 

Recommendation:

 

Remove the namespace prefix for ‘wsu’ from wrappers.xsd.

 

Additionally, namespace prefix declarations for ‘wsp’ and ‘wsrmp’ should also be removed as unneeded.
