Subject: [legalxml-courtfiling] Invitation to participate in vendor feedback onOXCI architecture

INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN

VENDOR FEEDBACK ON OPEN XML COURT INTERFACE (OXCI) ARCHITECTURE REVIEW

February 5, 2003

The Georgia Administrative Office of the Courts is preparing to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a fully operational open source middleware implementation for electronic filing within all levels of courts for the receipt, transmission, and validation of electronic filings, court orders, and associated data.  The middleware will provide a uniform open source implementation of an Electronic Filing Manger (EFM), extending the OASIS LegalXML Court Filing Technical Committee Electronic Filing specifications (that have now been adopted as proposed standards by the COSCA/NACM Joint Technology Committee), supplemented by Technical Requirements within the solicitation.  The detailed architectural requirements will be issued with the RFP.

Prior to issuance of the RFP, the Georgia AOC is seeking feedback and input on the technical architectural requirements from the private and non-profit communities of interest.   The Georgia AOC will sponsor a one day session for these purposes on February 5, 2003 from 8 am to 4 pm at the Airport Hilton in St. Louis.  All interested vendors are invited to participate.

Vendors who express an interest in attending will be provided with draft technical architectural requirements by email, no later than February 1, 2003.  At the vendor session on February 5th, a walkthrough of the draft technical architectural requirements will be provided, with an emphasis on detailed discussion and feedback from vendors.  Members of the Advisory Committee for the OXCI project will be in attendance.

The February 5th session WILL NOT be a vendor’s conference for the RFP itself and no other portions of the RFP will be released prior to the issuance of the RFP on March 1, 2003.

Any vendor interested in attending the St. Louis meeting should notify Greg Arnold (arnoldg@gaaoc.us) and Terrie Bousquin (Bousquin@greacen.net)  by email no later than January 31st.   Vendors are responsible for their own travel expenses and for making their own arrangements for lodging in St. Louis.
