Minutes: March 6 Springboard ECF Initiative Biweekly Meeting
1. Future calls will continue to be held every other Thursday 4:00 Eastern (March 20, April 3, etc.) 2. News & Notes a. IJIS Symposium presentation 3. Scott to include ECF TC responses to QA Review comments in the document itself & re-post to Dropbox 4. Ongoing Springboard test harness support & technical assistance to transition to IJIS Help Desk 5. Background / reminders from previous calls a. Review: content of certification (will appear on website & certificates) i. A Springboard Certification Mark License has been awarded to ABC Corporation in recognition that XYZ Product Version 2.3 has successfully demonstrated conformance with Springboard Electronic Court Filing Test Harness Version 1.0 for the following conformance classes: 1. All required basic operations 2. Filing Assembly MDE, all operations for all case types 3. Filing Review MDE, required operations only for all case types 4. Court Record MDE, all operations for Bankruptcy, Civil, and Juvenile Court case types 5. Court Record MDE, required operations only for Criminal Court case types b. Tools to help educate buyers on how to add certification language to solicitations i. Background reading: newly published IJIS Procurement Innovation Report (available at http://www.ijis.org/_resources/procurement_innovation_report.html) ii. Sample from New Hampshire via Akbar iii. DRAFT sample solicitation language: 1. The proposed product must have an unexpired "Springboard Certified ™/®" certificate demonstrating successful conformance testing with the Springboard Test Harness Version 1.0 for the OASIS Electronic Court Filing 4.01 Standard for the following conformance classes: a. Filing Review MDE: all operations for all case types b. Court Record MDE: all operations for Bankruptcy, Civil, and Juvenile Court Case Types; required operations only for all other case types c. General conformance testing process i. Contact IJIS ii. Preliminary, one-hour conference call to assess readiness (non-binding discussion of detailed process) iii. Conduct engineering walkthrough iv. Integrate into your environment 1. Recommend acquiring at least the open source version of soapUI (since this is the tool used in the Springboard Test Harness) 2. The proprietary version could be useful for developing one’s own customized tests or reports v. Run connectivity tests 1. All the Springboard ECF soapUI projects will be made available to participants who wish to bootstrap a soapUI ECF implementation locally vi. Conduct conformance tests vii. License the certification mark d. Two areas in the soapUI test harness i. One for the 4 required transactions (ReviewFiling, RecordFiling, NotifyDocketingComplete, NotifyReviewFilingComplete) ii. Must pass all tests (GREEN) to claim conformance to a particular MDE / Case Type pair iii. The other soapUI structure will be for the other 9 optional transaction and all other options within the ECF specification (MAY and SHALL) 1. When a participant runs this test suite, it may fail some tests (RED) yet still be able to claim conformance against any passed tests (GREEN)
