Subject: RE: UTC date time for scheduling
Just an FYI- as we have endorsed (included) the use of the WS-Calendar group into this discussion and our ECF work. I went to look and their WS-Calendar-PIM standard endorses the use of UTC for “complete unambiguity”. See: http://docs.oasis-open.org/ws-calendar/ws-calendar-pim/v1.0/cs02/ws-calendar-pim-v1.0-cs02.html Jim M James E. McMillan – National Center for State Courts, USA From: legalxml-courtfiling@lists.oasis-open.org [mailto:legalxml-courtfiling@lists.oasis-open.org]
On Behalf Of James E Cabral Enrique, NIEM appears to support this. nc:ScheduleDate can include nc:DateTime which takes a full UTC date and time in the formats: UTC: 2001-10-26T21:32:52 UTC time zone offset: 2001-10-26T21:32:52+02 nc:ScheduleDayStartTime and nc:ScheduleDayEndTime both take a UTC time in either of the following formats: UTC: 09:30:10Z UTC time zone offset: 09:30:10-06:00 __ From:

I had to go back and look at my notes to see which ones exactly we were concerned about. And it’s the j:CourtEventSchedule element which has the nc:ScheduleDate, nc:ScheduleDayStartTime and nc:ScheduleDayEndTime. I realize it’s NIEM and not ECF though.. But it’d be nice if we could express the start and end date/time in UTC. |
